上課啦！Course / Lesson / Class / Lecture 差在哪裡？
同樣都是上課，在英文裡面至少就有四個字 course, lesson, class, lecture，而且都是國中程度應該要了解的單字，那就來區別一下，什麼時候該用哪個「課」吧！
class
[klæs] Def. 班級、課程、課堂
三種常用的時機：
(1) 以時間上來說的「一堂課」
(2) 課程的「種類」，一般比較沒那麼學術的課，也多用class
(3) 班級，一整群學生的群體
lesson
[ˈlesn] Def. 課、教訓
(1) 課本中的「一課」，像是「第三課」
(2) 提醒、教訓
常用詞組：
course
[kɔrs] Def. 一門完整的課程
lecture
(1) 講課，通常用在「一次性」的演講，或是客座的演講，比較不是規律性的課
(2) 授課，老師的講課

lesson

(1) 課本中的「一課」，像是「第三課」

- I have finished this lesson so we'll have a quiz next week. 我已經上完這一課，所以我們下週會有小考
(2) 提醒、教訓
- Did you learn the lesson from the mistake? 你有從錯誤中學到教訓嗎？
- People need to learn the lesson from the history. 人們需要從歷史學到教訓

- teach someone a lesson 給某人一個教訓

lecture
(1) 講課，通常用在「一次性」的演講，或是客座的演講，比較不是規律性的課
- A famous professor will come and give us a lecture. 一位有名的教授將會來給我們講一堂課
(2) 授課，老師的講課
- I don't like that teacher's lecture. 我不喜歡那個老師的講課
- Celin prepares the lecture with creative materials. 席琳用有創意的材料準備講課
